Managing views
To manage the views on your site, follow this procedure:
1) Log in to an administrator account on your Prometheus website.
2) Click on "Views" in the "Admin Links" menu, or go to Administer > Site building > Views (admin/build/views).
3) To edit, export, delete or clone an existing view, click on the appropriate link in the "Actions" column.
4) To add or import a new view, click on the appropriate tab.
5) In the "Basic Information" section, enter the name and description of the view. If you would like to limit display of the view to certain classes of users, check the appropriate boxes in the "Access" subsection.
6) If you would like the view to generate a page, check "Provide Page View" in the "Page" section. Enter the URL, View Type (the most commonly used type is "Teaser List") and title for the view. If you would like to have nodes displayed on multiple pages, check the "Use Pager" box and select a value in the "Nodes per Page" listbox. If you would like to have text displayed before and/or after the nodes, use the "Header" and/or "Footer" subsections. If you would like to create a menu item that links to the page, click "Provide Menu" in the "Menu" subsection and enter the title for the menu item in the "Menu Title" subsection. Note that this can only be used to create primary links.
7) If you would like the view to generate a block, check "Provide Block" in the "Block" section. Enter the View Type (the most commonly used type is "Teaser List") and title for the block. If you would like to limit the number of nodes dispalyed in the block, enter a value in the "Nodes per Block" field. If you would like to create a link from the block to the page, check the "[More] Link?" box. If you would like to have text displayed before and/or after the nodes, use the "Header" and/or "Footer" subsections.
8) To select the fields to be displayed within the page/block, select each field in the "Add Field" listbox and click the "Add Field" button. You can select the format in which the field will be displayed by selecting an option forrm the listbox in the "Handler" column. To change the order in which the fields will be displayed, use the arrow icons.
9) To select which nodes will be displayed within the page/block, select fields in the "Add Filter" listbox and click the "Add Filter" button. Use the "Operator" and "Value" listboxes to indicate which values the field must contain in order for the node to be displayed. In most cases, one of the filters should be "Node:Published Equals Yes".
10) To select how nodes will be sorted within the page/block, select fields in the "Add criteria" listbox and click the "Add Criteria" button. The sort order can be set to either ascending or descending, and the sort criteria will be applied in the order listed. To change the order, use the arrow icons.
11) When all the view information has been entered, scroll down and click "Submit".
